Who am I?

What data do I process?
When you get in touch or have a trip planned, I process the data you share with me: your name, email address, phone number and your travel wishes, such as travel dates, budget and your children's ages.
If I book stays in your name, I pass on the details the accommodation needs, such as the travellers' names. For invoicing I keep your name, address and payment.
What do I use it for?
To stay in touch, schedule an intro call, prepare a quote, put together your travel plan and, if you wish, reserve stays in your name.
I only use your email address for the newsletter if you signed up yourself. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every newsletter.
On what basis?
I process your data because it is needed to carry out our agreement, because you gave consent (for example for the newsletter), or because the law requires it (for example tax records).
Who do I share data with?
I only share your data when necessary: with the places I reserve for you, and with the services I use for my work, such as email (TransIP), my booking tool (Calendly), Google Meet for video calls, WhatsApp and the host of this website. Some of these are based outside Europe; they work with the safeguards required by European privacy law.
I never sell your data.
How long do I keep it?
Contact and quote details are kept for up to two years after our last contact. Invoices are kept for seven years, as required by Dutch law. Your newsletter subscription is kept until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising or analytics services. The fonts are hosted on the website itself. If you click through to WhatsApp, Calendly, Instagram or TikTok, their own privacy policies apply.
Your rights
You may view, correct or delete your data, and object to its use. Email hello@budayatravel.com and I will respond within four weeks.
Not happy with how I handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
I protect your data with passwords, two-factor authentication and reliable services, and I keep no more than necessary.
